My favoritie time of the year for family shoots. The foliage in the public gardens is so beautiful and made for a perfect backdrop for this awesome family! 

 

Full Circle: DCD

I'm so grateful for the opportunity to be back at Dedham Country Day this year! I was a student at DCD from the 4th-8th grade and have such positive memories of my years spent there. I always knew it was a special place. After all, very few kids get to build hand-made shaker furniture,  make pottery on a wheel, act in theatre productions, and play competative sports all while in elementary school! Coming back as an adult (and as an expecting mom) I have a whole new appreciation for just how fantastic this place is. It is truly a one of a kind community that fosters self discovery and breeds self confidence in its students. It is no surprise that so many wonderful and talented people come out of this little gem of a school. 

I am on campus 1-2 times a week teaching middle school digital photography (such a blast!) and I have also been doing a bit of lifestyle photography for school publications and web use. Below are a few images from around campus. :) 

Concord

This week I went out to Concord Academy for the first time to shoot some (horizontal) portraits of a few students for an upcoming admissions publication. It was a cold day but we founds some nicely lit spots around their beautiful campus.

Little Ladies of Winsor

Since September I have been photographing life at the Winsor School; an all girls, independent middle and high school near Fenway Park. It's an awesome learning environment and I love the culture there. It is a super laid back, intellectual community that is clearly producing some wonderful, well rounded ladies. They are quirky and smart and seem so comfortable in their skin; qualities that are so special and important in today's society. Below are some images of these awesome girls around campus.

Go Green: Girl Scout Gala 2012

Last evening the Girl Scouts held their centennial gala at the Fairmont Copley Plaza. Daisies, Brownies and Girl Scouts all celebrated with local supporters and celebs in a beautiful ballroom painted in green  pride. Chelsea Clinton, Mayor Menino and local tv anchor, Bianca de la Garza all made appearances and spoke of their personal memories and strong belief in the organization.
